I've had this plan for the last 8 months or so on how I am most quickly going to avoid jet lag as we travel about 15 hours west today. I figured that if we could stay up the entire night in LA and then fall asleep at 8:30 am for about 6 hours we would instantly be on Hong Kong time.
This plan was working pretty well while Along Came Polly was playing on AMC at about 11 last night. Then Annie and I met our biggest challenge of the evening. The best available movie on TV was The Core. That steaming poop of a movie knocked Annie out by about 1 am (maybe 20 minutes in) and I wasn't able to make it to the final credits.
I am happy to say that I should have no problem taking at least a short nap after boarding.
Annie and I are sitting in the 80s chic Cathay Pacific lounge now, having a little breakfast bacon, and looking forward to Dim Sum dinner or breakfast or whatever meal we are supposed to have at 5pm Hong Kong time.
